The Short Sale® Industry
Dwan Bent-Twyford, America’s Most Sought After Real Estate Investor, has been teaching Short Sale® before the term was even coined.
In fact, in the 90’s Dwan was working with banks and getting so many “discounts” on her deals, she coined and then trademarked the term Short Sale®!
She has held this highly coveted TRADEMARK for OVER 15 years!
She then began a full-time career educating real estate investors across the country about the Short Sale® industry – ALL of the major Short Sale players have attended one of Dwan’s many workshops where, they themselves, learned from her. She is credited as the FOUNDER of this huge portion of the real estate investing market.
Dwan can be seen regularly on stages across America teaching and training investors on the art of doing the Short Sale®, Flipping Properties, becoming successful Rehabbers, and becoming lifetime Landlords!
She is credited with writing the very first Short Sale® program for real estate investors wayyyy back in 90’s. She does seminars, webinars, and blogs about ALL things real estate related on a daily basis.

My history is typically, “All American.” Having grown up in a small town in Iowa, my brother and I worked with our Dad, who owned a successful commercial painting contract business. By the age of 24, I started my own business in Houston, Texas, painting water towers, silos, and radio towers. You name it – I painted it!
Throughout my adult life, I have worked an endless string of dead-end jobs ranging anywhere from waiting tables at Denny’s, to selling vitamins on the phone, to owning a chain of tanning salons. I didn’t see myself become a real estate investor at the time.
Ever since I was little, I always looked up to my Dad, Bill Twyford. It started the day when he taught me how to ride dirt bikes. His knowledge and way of teaching was something I knew I wanted to learn for myself when I got older.
I loved growing up in the business and having the opportunity to meet so many people and watch my Mom help so many homeowners.
